UPDATE: Trump has said he has no interest in returning back to the social media site.

According to Reuters, Trump said, "I don't see any reason for it" in a video interview. He was asked whether he planned to return to Twitter by a panel at the Republican Jewish Coalition's annual leadership meeting.
"The people have spoken. Trump will be reinstated. Vox Populi, Vox Dei."
And with that, Twitter CEO Elon Musk announced he was lifting Former US President Donald Trump's Twitter ban.
The announcement came after a poll he conducted on Twitter attracting 15 million votes (though not necessarily 15 million humans) broke in favour of reinstatement.
Trump was expelled from the platform following the January 6th insurrection he incited after he lost the election. His attempt to overthrow his democratically elected challenger Joe Biden failed.
Five people including a police officer died as a result of the riots on that day. Subsequent investigations led to hundreds of arrests and convictions. Trump himself is facing multiple ongoing inquiries into his role, including most recently the appointment of a special prosecutor.
His reinstatement has been on the cards since the company was purchased by Elon Musk who has long touted his belief that all speech (except that of people imitating and making fun of him) should be free.
On Saturday (AEST) Musk first tweeted, "New Twitter policy is freedom of speech, but not freedom of reach. Negative/hate tweets will be max deboosted & demonetised, so no ads or other revenue to Twitter. You won’t find the tweet unless you specifically seek it out, which is no different from the rest of the Internet."
He then flagged the notable reinstatement of the accounts of Kathy Griffin, a comedian who made fun of him, right wing culture warrior Jorden Peterson banned for suggesting trans actor Elliot Page has his "breasts removed by a criminal physician," and parody site the BabylonBee which named transgender Biden administration official Rachel Levine as its Man of the Year.
Musk ended that tweet by saying, "Trump decision has not yet been made."
