TransGrid inks $12m IT outsourcing deal

The "end-to-end" deal covers desktop virtualisation, end-user computing, security management, softwate-as-a-service support, as well as transition services and project delivery.

TransGrid most recently outsourced its IT environment to Mincom in 2006. That deal is due to expire at the end of October.

Before Mincom, it used Fujitsu under an arrangement signed in 2002.

TransGrid is a government-owned corporation responsible for the state’s high voltage electricity network.
