Tipping Point boosts IPS technology

Tipping Point has rolled out new capabilties for its UnityOne network-based intrusion prevention system that manage use of high-bandwidth applications in the enterprise.

The added capabilties allow a company to throttle down traffic that hogs bandwidth, such as peer-to-peer file sharing, thereby preserving network resources, said Marc Willebeck-LeMair.
