Salesforce Ventures has created a $50 million fund to invest in Australian companies developing software within the vendor’s own ecosystem.
The Australian Trailblazer Fund was announced ahead of Salesforce’s annual Sydney conference on Wednesday.
Salesforce said in a statement that the fund “deepens its commitment to the region by investing in local innovation and inspiring Australian entrepreneurs to create next generation technology that drives customer success across industries.”
Since 2012, Salesforce Ventures has put money into Australian companies including Arxxus, Autopilot, Bugcrowd, Practifi, Socialsuite and Sqware Peg.
Bugcrowd CTO Casey Ellis said that, in addition to the availability of capital, the fund would make more “technical and partnership resources” from Salesforce available to Australian entrepreneurs.
