Opinion: Mobile Me finally fixed... for now

By

Apple fans can finally breathe a fruit-flavoured sigh of relief as the Cupertino Collective announces that its Mobile Me fluffy Cloud service is up and running properly.

David 'booyaka sha' G has announced on the service's status page that all is well in the state of Mobile Me despite having lost a bunch of subscribers' emails over the last couple of weeks.

"We have completed restoring Mail service, including historical messages, to all of the one per cent of affected members," he writes.

"Thank you all for your extreme patience during this trying time. If you have been affected by this issue and are still having problems we have established a dedicated chat line to reach a Mobile Me Mail specialist for help."

Still not quite an apology. But I guess 'thank you' is better than nothing.

David also explained that a syncing bug which had caused some users' calendars to go a bit wobbly had been fixed and provided a link which gives details of how to fix the problem (have you tried turning it off and on again? is the basic gist of it).

So now you have no excuse for missing that 'Deep Breathing for Anal Retentives' workshop you booked last week.
