NetSuite and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have launched SuiteStorage, a connector built using NetSuite's SuiteCloud to enable integration with Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3).
Independent software vendors and customers can now build applications using NetSuite's integrated cloud enterprise resource planning (ERP) suite tied to AWS' capabilities, according to NetSuite.
SuiteStorage's AWS integration is a scalable, secure and low-cost alternative to high-capacity needs, according to the firms, and was built to provide an integrated user interface for storing and retrieving files from Amazon S3.
NetSuite claimed that this can increase performance for data-intensive companies, while maintaining relational integrity with the NetSuite database.
"With this offering, system integrators, developers and customers can leverage NetSuite's ERP offering and Amazon S3's secure, scalable and reliable storage offering," said Terry Wise, director of business development at AWS.
Guido Haarmans, vice president of the SuiteCloud developer network at NetSuite, added: "Connecting the NetSuite and Amazon clouds demonstrates our commitment to helping customers reduce their IT infrastructure costs and responsibilities."
Customers can sign up for Amazon S3 by installing SuiteStorage and entering their Amazon user information within a NetSuite configuration panel.
