Liberty Bank has chosen Sigaba Secure Email to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, Sigaba announced Tuesday.

The Sigaba solution allows the Middletown, Connecticut-based bank to send and receive encrypted email without requiring additional software for end users.

"Sigaba allows us to meet two important priorities: maximizing security and keeping things easy and convenient for our customers," Lorraine DeToro, senior systems administrator at Liberty Bank, said in a prepared statement.

Sigaba, also known as Secure Data in Motion, is based in San Mateo, Calif.
