Praising his coworkers, Johansson called his half-decade at Microsoft "a remarkable ride," noting considerable changes in security at the company.

Johansson could not be reached for comment today.

An Amazon.com spokesperson could not be reached for comment today.

Asked for comment, a Microsoft spokeswoman said today the company "does not have any information to share at this time."
