Israel’s largest IT services company Ness Technologies has landed in Australia with the opening of a new office in Melbourne.

Ness specialises in outsourcing/offshoring, systems integration, application development, software, consulting and quality assurance and training.

The company has forged partnerships in Australia with the likes of application software company WebMethods, Oracle and Informatica.

The integrator would predominantly target the banking and finance sector as well as utilities and state government markets.

Sat Mishra, the newly-appointed manager of Ness Australia, said by the end of this quarter, the company would have 10 to 15 staff and planned to hire up to 50 in the future.

Ness had completed a few small projects here and had other opportunities in the pipeline, Mishra said.

Mishra was formerly based in Melbourne as southern region manager for HCL Technologies.

Ness had revenues last year of US$385 million with offices in 15 countries across North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific and employes 6600 staff.

The company has Asia-Pacific offices in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. Around 50 percent of revenues are generated out of Israel.
