IBM introduces next generation blade server

By

IBM has introduced a new blade server called the BladeCenter QS22.

The QS22 holds a new processor called PowerXCell 8i, which is five times as fast as the processor in QS21. The QS22 also a 32GB memory, which is 16 times more than that of its predecessors

“The QS22 is a technological leap over the physical limitations of traditional processors that often dampen the ability of organisations to reach their goals,” said Jim Comfort, IBM Systems and Technology Group vice president.
