By

IBM and Cisco have linked up to offer a range of IT security solutions.

The gameplan for the companies is to integrate the Cisco
Access Control Server (ACS) with IBM Tivoli's Identity Manager
software.

The two firms claim their solutions help customers build self-defending environments ranging from laptops to corporate data.

IBM will also join the Cisco Network Admission Control (NAC) program, and plans to integrate certain IBM Tivoli security management software with Cisco infrastructure products.
