A serial malware writer was booted from the Google Play store after uploading fake anti-virus Android applications.

HackMan uploaded a variety of malicious apps found by Aegislab, including netqinau antivirus, antivirus premium, and free live tv mobi.
The apps were generated by the Appsgeyser platform.
The malicious app, Antivirus Free, claimed to detect and cross-reference new installed applications with a database of known malcious applications, and use less than 0.1 per cent of battery power.
Meanwhile, AVG had announced a deal with Android marketplace provider Livewire to scan all apps uploaded to the store using its anti-virus engine.
The AVG Android app would be downloaded when user phones update.
HackMan's malicious installation files were still available on his web site.
