Anti-spam firm Brightmail is to reveal a free automated service for its customers, which endeavours to monitor email sources for more trustworthy communication.

The Brightmail Reputation Service tracks email sources, providing an extra layer of spam protection by identifying sources and ensuring that email from trusted sources is delivered, a spokesman for the company said.

The company used data from its 300 million end-users and its spam honey pot network to develop the product.
