New president of product and tech to drive US expansion.

Listed online gaming outfit PointsBet has appointed a former Juniper, Sun Microsystems and Aristocrat Leisure exec as its new president for product and technology.

The new hire is Manjit Gombra Singh, previously a founder of security vendor DruvStar, a senior director at Juniper Networks and director of software engineering at Sun Microsystems.

Singh’s experience also includes CTO of Aristocrat Leisure, plus time on other gaming-related businesses.

“Manjit recognises the progress we have made and the opportunity ahead. Manjit will bring key leadership and technology capabilities to the global business and is well placed to drive our technology and product strategy as we continue to expand in the United States," PointsBet CEO Sam Swanell said.

PointsBet will also move group CFO Nick Fahey to the role of group chief commercial officer on July 22nd. He’ll be replaced by current chief strategy officer Andrew Mellor.

The company previously combined the roles for CTO and COO, according to its recent prospectus. It floated on the ASX in June.
