The IT provider will deliver the electronic work environment for the next four years, offering Finance staff the flexibility to access their data and applications securely from any device, and remotely from outside the office.

The desktop-as-a-service solution encompasses Windows 10 desktops, enterprise mobility, wireless, email, unified communications, enterprise voice and collaboration services.

Finance has long been a flagbearer for the adoption of cloud services in the federal government, and it drives cheaper procurement options for public sector entities.

The ASG ‘as-a-service’ solution is expected to reduce the financial, operating and human capital previously associated with owning technology-based assets.

ASG chief executive Geoff Lewis said the solution "enhances productivity and efficiency by unlocking staff from the traditional workplace and providing a secure environment that follows them everywhere.”

ASG Group Limited is an Australian IT business solutions provider, offering IT management and consulting services, business intelligence and thought leadership.

Established in 1996, the company listed on ASX in 2002.
