Facebook and Google are reportedly considering separate deals with Skype after the web video conferencing service delayed its initial public offering.

Two sources with direct knowledge of the discussions leaked details of the plans to Reuters.

Facebook's plans include a buyout, according to one source, who said Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg is involved in these internal discussions.

Another source said Facebook's plans include forming a joint venture with the Luxembourg-based software company. Google has also held early talks for a joint venture with Skype, the source said.

The discussions are in early stages and it is not clear which option the companies favor, the sources said.
