Corporate Travel Management (CTM) has announced it's officially filled the position of global chief financial officer (CFO) as James Spence takes on the role.

The travel management company announced the senior leadership changes on Friday stating Spence will officially take the reins in late May.
According to CTM, Spence brings “over 13 years of experience as a CFO of large, international businesses, and has operated across Australasia, North America and Europe, in a 30-year career”.
In its ASX statement, the company said, “This appointment is made after a 6-month recruitment process, following the departure of the previous global chief financial officer, Cale Bennett, in July 2023."
Bennett is now the CFO at enterprise software as a service (SaaS) company TechnologyOne.
Current acting global chief financial officer James Patterson, will “continue to support the business, and the incoming CFO, in the group finance team,” the company said.
CTM managing director, Jamie Pherous said, “We have built an exceptionally strong group finance function.
"These changes will add further depth of experience to help the business deliver on an ambitious five-year growth strategy to be outlined further at our half-year release.
“I would like to welcome James Spence to the team, and thank James Patterson for his significant contribution as acting CFO”.
He joins from New Zealand-based utilities company, Genesis where he was the CFO for two years.
Genesis chief executive, Malcolm Johns said, “I am grateful to James for his agreement to extend his notice period to ensure continuity throughout the development of the FY25 operating plan,”
Johns said, “James has played an impactful role within a strong overall executive effort in developing the company’s Gen35 strategy, which was recently communicated to the market.
“He leaves a strong finance team equipped to support the delivery of this strategy over the coming years. I wish him and his family every success for their relocation back to Australia,” Johns concluded.
