Clearstream, a settlement and custody division of the Deutsche Börse Group, has bought a secure file transfer solution for its 2,000 online customers.

A spokesman for Clearstream said that it chose Tumbleweed's Secure Transport because it was fast to roll out.

"Whether our customers are based in London, Dubai, New York or Tokyo, we want to offer them a choice of connection possibilities," said Karl van Gestel, head of settlement and custody design for Clearstream. "SecureTransport's integration allows us to enhance the service in the future - for instance by providing email notification."

Clearstream said it would make the product available to customers as part of its CreationConnect connectivity channels, which will incorporate SecureTransport later this year.
