Check Point unveils ZoneAlarm 7
Check Point has unveiled the latest version of its popular ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite.

Version 7.0 includes an antivirus engine supported by hourly signature updates, and an improved anti-spyware engine.

It also features ZoneAlarm's OSFirewall, which has been updated with new malware blocking capabilities designed to stop spyware, root-kits and key-loggers from infecting a user's PC.

A new Auto-Learn mode automatically configures security settings based on users' PC environments and behaviour.

Laura Yecies, vice president and general manager of Check Point's consumer division, said: "Today's cyber-criminals are motivated by financial gain and are often highly organised.

"Due to the increasing sophistication of threats, it is extremely important to take a layered approach with PC security, and we continue to innovate multiple, integrated layers of protection to offer consumers seamless and comprehensive protection."

ZoneAlarm Pro has a list price of US$49.95, ZoneAlarm Antivirus costs US$24.95 and ZoneAlarm Anti-Spyware is priced at US$24.95.

Existing customers can update to the latest version for free if their subscription is current. The basic ZoneAlarm firewall continues to be free for personal and non-profit use.
