The transformation work forms part of the regional water corporation’s More than Water 2040 Strategy and Digital Water Metering project, which will see 75,000 digital water metres delivered over three years.

Central Highlands Water selected Infor CloudSuite Public Sector to upgrade the organisation into an agile, digital utility with simplified budgeting and reporting.

The new platform replaces five core legacy on-premise systems, covering Infor Public Sector and various business processes, including financial accounting, budgeting and planning, asset management to procurement and work order management.

Jeff Haydon, managing director at Central Highlands Water said, “One of the major projects we will be focusing on is the ICT&D Business Solutions and Digital Enhancements project.”

This is “to ensure we continue to provide the best digital solutions and experiences for our customers,” Haydon added.

“Our partnership with Infor is important to achieving this vision and we’re pleased to continue our relationship,” he said.

A Central Highlands Water spokesperson told Digital Nation the organisation is “currently working with Infor and others following the Infor implementation framework to migrate our business processes from the current systems to the new CloudSuite platform offering.”

“A number of workshops with technical and business subject matter experts (SMEs) have already been completed, and there will be several more workshops, providing us with the best opportunity for a successful deployment,” the spokesperson added.

The spokesperson said the business strives “to find new ways to be more efficient and increase satisfaction for our customers and the communities we service.”

“Our customers help inform our decision-making and we continually look for new ways to enhance value for money.

“The new ERP will support improved customer service, with a focus on security and help evolve our overall service delivery and associated processes."
