Cellnet Group has been appointed as Belkin's second Australian distributor, joining Ingram Micro on the company's distribution books.

Under the agreement, the distributor's IT Wholesale division would distribute Belkin's range of wireless accessories, computer/audio/video and phone cabling, power protection devices and network and broadband sharing products throughout Australia.

Belkin -- one of the fastest growing private companies in the US with gross sales exceeding US$750 million worldwide -- operates its Asia-Pacific headquarters on the Central Coast in NSW.

Mike Bell, managing director and Asia-Pacific VP at Belkin, said the company with its diversified product range had grown to a size where it needed two distributors in Australia.

"Over the last four years since establishing ourselves in Australia we have continued to grow at over 50 percent per annum and we are confident of similar growth next year."

"We believe IT Wholesale can help us expand into new growth areas, particularly in the fast-growing convergence market."
