Arrow Energy hunts for CIO

Arrow Energy has confirmed the departure of chief information officer Maxine Carter after two-and-a-half years in the role.

A spokeswoman for the coal seam gas miner told iTnews that a "permanent replacement" for Carter is expected to be named shortly.

The spokeswoman declined to disclose why Carter had departed.

Carter has indicated only that she is open to offers of a new CIO or senior management role at another firm.

Arrow has not disclosed who will assume responsibility for Carter's portfolio in the interim, but said a search for her replacement had been in train since late 2011.

Carter joined Arrow Energy in April 2009 after a long stint at the Australian-headquartered civil engineering firm Cardno.

Arrow Energy is planning the development of a liquefied natural gas plant on Curtis Island, off Gladstone, Queensland. It produces gas from fields in the Surat and Bowen basins.

Arrow is jointly owned by PetroChina and Royal Dutch Shell.
