Web security vendors wage patent war
Finjan Software has revealed that it filed a patent infringement lawsuit on 5 June 2006 against Secure Computing and its CyberGuard and Webwasher subsidiaries in the US District Court in Delaware.

The web security firm claimed in the filing that Secure Computing's WebWasher, IronMail and Cyberguard TSP products infringe on a number of Finjan patents.

Finjan has asserted three patents against the companies and said that the case is scheduled to go to trial in March 2008.

Secure Computing has retaliated with patent infringement counterclaims in the Delaware court, and has also filed a patent infringement and unfair competition lawsuit in the US District Court in Minnesota against Finjan.
