Vodafone is expanding the number of users that can access its 4G network by opening the asset to prepaid users for the first time.
The telco said today that existing prepaid users would be able to move onto 4G services from today, and new prepaid users could join from mid-November.
The two-phase opening of the network to prepaid users was intended to "reward" existing customers ahead of newer ones.
The telco revised its $40 prepaid cap plan to include an extra 250MB of data to coincide with the launch.
Vodafone switched the 4G network on in mid-June this year but limited usage to postpaid customers in coverage areas.
The network is also not accessible for mobile data-only users, and the telco has said it has no plans to offer 4G data-only services or access devices this year.
