Telindus boosts security with peer-to-peer policy management

By

Telindus France has bolstered its network security with a policy management system designed to improve traffic management and reduce the impact of viruses and worms across its range of service offerings for broadband ISPs in France.

The French division of European network giant Telindus Group added Sandvine's Peer-to-Peer Policy Management platform to its broadband network solution set encompassing consulting, implementation, and post-sale support.

"French broadband ISPs are very keen to manage file sharing traffic, mitigate the impact of worm attacks and better understand how their subscribers utilise broadband access," said Gilles Gaudu, manager of the ISP Market at Telindus France.

The solution centres on integration of Sandvine's technologies with Telindus' existing proprietary products, including the Telindus Broadband Business solution suite, which enables roll-out of value-added services like Virtual Private Networks (VPN), Video and Voice over IP (VoIP), supported through advanced Quality Of Service (QoS) mechanisms.

Dave Caputo, CEO and president of Sandvine added: "Together we are helping our service provider customers in France protect the broadband experience for their subscribers while identifying new opportunities to improve profitability."
