Tech Pac, Synnex strike new consumables deals

Tech Pacific has started distributing ink and toner from UK-based supplier IT Image, filling a gap in its consumables product line up.

Josh Velling, systems and peripherals category manager at Tech Pacific said the addition of IT Image "plugged a gap" in its range for the printer vendors that the distributor doesn't represent including Canon, Brother, Epson, Sharp and Panasonic.

The addition of IT Image would assist resellers that have customers running the aforementioned printers. IT Image also sells paper and thermal transfer ribbons.

Meanwhile, competitor Synnex has been appointed to distribute Epson's range of printer consumables, including ink cartridges, toner and drums. Synnex also distributes Epson printers and HP's range of consumables.

Arthur Gimises, regional sales manager at Synnex, said the distributor would push the Epson Gold Seal program to encourage resellers to purchase through authorised channels.

“Additionally, Synnex will implement reseller programs to grow business especially from resellers who are currently selling unauthorised products or third-party compatibles,” he said.
