Smart Card Alliance boosts membership

The Smart Card Alliance, an industry association working to speed the adoption of smart cards, on Monday announced 21 new members, including VeriSign and Lockheed Martin.

VeriSign and Lockheed Martin joined the alliance at the highest level of membership, which is the leadership council level.


Other companies joining the alliance include security suppliers AMAG Technology, Tyco Software, and SSP Litronic, card manufacturers and applicaiton developers Giesecke & Devrient and CardLogix, and end-user organizations Wisconsin Physicians Service Insurance Corporation and the government of Bermuda.
