By

The winners of the SC Awards Europe 2008 were announced last night at an event attended by the great and the good of the information security industry.

A packed Hurlingham Club in London saw a raft of companies and individuals pick up Europe’s most prestigious information security awards.

The accolade for Best Security Company went to UK based NGSSoftware. A beaming David Litchfield, the managing director, accepted the award from Lumension’s Andrew Clarke.

The award for CEO of the Year went to Imperva’s Shlomo Kramer who headed a list of hugely talented industry leaders. An exclusive interview with Kramer will appear in the May issue of SC Magazine.

In the other big awards of the night Best Security Product went to McAfee Endpoint Encryption for Devices, the SC Innovation Award went to Veracode for Veracode SecurityReview while the Best Anti-Malware Solution went MessageLabs Email Protect.
