Hosted by comedienne Corinne Grant, the inaugural awards were held on Tuesday 19th May during the Gala Dinner at the AusCERT 2009 Conference on the Gold Coast.

About 750 delegates from the IT security industry turned out to the 19 May gala dinner at Warner Brothers Movie World to applaud the cream of the industry.
