NCSP releases final task force report

By

The National Cyber Security Partnership Monday released recommendations for reducing security vulnerabilities from its task force on Technical Standards and Common Criteria.

The task force is one of five NCSP groups studying ways to improve cybersecurity and the last to issue its report.

The group's recommendations include: Broadening recognition and adoption of existing standards; improving the Common Criteria process; federal research towards development of better vulnerability analysis tools; and developing guidelines for secure equipment deployment and network architectures.

NCSP is led by TechNet and other industry and business groups; the task forces included academics, vendors and government officials.
