Moses starts immediately and will be based in Sydney. He has 20 years IT industry experience, including stints in management at Citrix Systems, Sourceware and Logical Networks.

Gary Franza, senior vice-president of worldwide sales at WatchGuard, said Moses' background in sales and management at the end-user, partner and channel level.

“This will greatly enhance and strengthen WatchGuard's presence in Australia and New Zealand,” Franza said. “With an executive of Moheb's calibre, we believe we can grow our business across the entire FireBox SOHO 6 Wireless products.”

WatchGuard's FireBox is a plug-and-play Internet security appliance. The company also makes server security software targeting enterprises engaged in e-business, such as LiveSecurity Service, the RapidStream 'Secured by CheckPoint' line for virtual private networks, and ServerLock and AppLock Web software.
