Mitsubishi drawn into SRAM investigation
The US Department of Justice (DoJ) has extended its investigation into the alleged price-fixing of SRAM chips to include Mitsubishi.

Mitsubishi confirmed to vnunet.com that its has been contacted by the DoJ, but declined to make any further comment.

Cypress and Samsung were contacted by the DoJ's Antitrust Division last week regarding the SRAM pricing investigation.

All three companies have said that they will cooperate fully with the investigation.

Mitsubishi has steered clear of the price-fixing scandals that have plagued memory manufacturers in recent years.

The company was not implicated in the 2002 DRAM price-fixing investigations, nor the lawsuit filed this summer against memory manufacturers by 34 US states.
