LogiCamms has landed an $8.5 million contract to upgrade the control system for the coal handling preparation plant at Queensland coal mine Meandu.

The mine, run by the Stanwell-owned TEC Coal, supplies coal to adjacent Tarong power stations.

The control system upgrade covers "detailed design, installation, factory and site acceptance testing, commissioning, and operator training", according to a statement lodged with the ASX.

Upgrade work is expected to start immediately and be completed in approximately 18 months.
