McAfee has announced three new editions to its senior management team.

The software company has appointed Martin Carmichael as chief security officer, Bill Curtis as chief process officer and Carl Banzhof as vice president and chief technology evangelist.

The appointments will aid the development of new products and services and the implementation of the organisation's operations and business infrastructure, the company said.

Earlier this week it was revealed that the security firm plans to lay off around 125 employees, mainly in its sales and marketing divisions. This will allow the company to focus on security risk management solutions, according to McAfee.
