Sydney-based LAN Systems has won mobile phone vendor Nokia's distributor of the year award in Australia for the second year running.

Vaughn Madeley, general manager at Nokia Internet Communications for Australia and New Zealand, said in a statement that the award recognised “excellent” sales performance and support to resellers of Nokia security and mobility products. Nokia awards a distributor of the year title to its different sub-regions in Asia Pacific.

“It's a public commendation of the spirit of partnership LAN Systems has demonstrated in working with Nokia,” Madeley said.

LAN Systems distributes Nokia's IP Security, Message Protector and NSAS (Nokia Secure Access System) ranges.

Nick Verykios, managing director at LAN Systems, said the distributor aimed to deliver the “highest possible standards” in logistics, technical support, education, services and know-how to its resellers.

LAN Systems is part of the Comstor group of companies. It focuses on offering networking products to IT resellers, telecommunications carriers and information service providers in Australia and New Zealand.

LAN Systems Pty Ltd is a provider of integrated networking and communications solutions to resellers, telecommunications carriers and information service providers throughout Australia and New Zealand from its Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Canberra offices.

Finland-based vendor Nokia has diversified from its mobile phone handsets into mobile, fixed and IP networks in recent years.
