Kaspersky has announced the launch of Endpoint Security 8, a business security solution to integrate with its cloud-based threat intelligence database.

The Windows product includes an anti-virus engine, a system watcher that the company says can undo damage caused by malicious programs, and integration with Kaspersky Lab's cloud-based threat intelligence database dubbed the Kaspersky Security Network.

It also offers advanced application control, web filtering, device control and intelligent personal firewall and intrusion detection systems.

Kaspersky said that it is designed to provide centrally controlled protection for organisations as they introduce technologies into their business operations.

John S. Malatesta, vice president of B2B field marketing at Kaspersky Lab, said: “Those of us in customer-facing roles have worked closely with Kaspersky Lab's technical experts to ensure that the needs of business were the dominant driver in the creation of this product."
