Tools on offer will include templates for posters, flyers, brochures and presentation documents, which can be customised by users for campaigns to raise awareness of data security at work or at home.

The materials will aim to promote topics including identity theft, online privacy, mobile security, software development, emerging security threats and website design.

"With such a high percentage of data breaches stemming from human error, focus on people and their behaviour is becoming a key element of any effective security programme," said Ed Zeitler, executive director of (ISC)2, in a statement.

Information security experts from corporations, academic institutions and government bodies from Europe, the US and the Asia-Pacific region will publish documents on the site, according to (ISC)2.

Visitors to the Cyber Security Awareness Resource Centre will be able to download the materials for free at www.isc2.org/csa.
