Google Tasks goes mobile with iPhone and Android

By

Google has brought its Tasks application to Android devices and the iPhone.

Tasks is currently available from Google Labs, and allows users to add a to-do list to Google Mail.

The company recently made Tasks available to mobile users with a version for small screens, but users will now be able to access the feature from any xhtml-enabled device.

"If you already use the version of Tasks in Gmail Labs, you'll see the same task list that's always in sync," said Task engineer Michael Bolin in the Gmail Blog.

"We focused on making it super easy and fast to update your Gmail task list. You can add new tasks and check off completed ones, no matter where you are."

Google also announced a new gadget version of Tasks that will allow users to add the same task list to their personalised iGoogle homepage.
