Google will give technology startups $100,000 worth of credits for its cloud platform for one year, as well as 24/7 support and access to its technical team under a new initiative for small businesses.
Google's Cloud Platform for Startups offer is open to companies that are under five years old and have less than $500,000 in annual revenue.
The offer is being delivered through more than 50 partners – mostly startup incubators, including Australian outfit Fishburners, which Google has called "Australia’s largest startup hub".
Only startups in an approved incubator, accelerator or venture capital fund, and with less than $5 million in funding, are eligible for the offer.
Google's director of developer relations Julie Pearl said in a blog post the offer would allow developers to focus on code rather than worrying about managing infrastructure.
