Enrique Salem joins board of directors.

FireEye have announced that former Symantec CEO Enrique Salem has joined its board of directors.

Joining former McAfee president and FireEye chairman and CEO Dave DeWalt on the eight-strong board, Salem left Symantec in July 2012 after 19 years with the company.

“I have been watching FireEye for a while now and am very impressed with what they have accomplished."

“I am honoured to be part of the FireEye board and am looking forward to working with the outstanding leadership team and board that has been assembled."

DeWalt said: “Enrique is a great addition to the FireEye board of directors. He brings a wealth of IT security market expertise as well as a great deal of experience in the management of large public companies."

"As FireEye continues to grow and expand, Enrique's membership on the board will be invaluable and we look forward to his insight and advice.”
