Fiberlink, a Blue Bell, Pa.-based provider of secure remote access solutions, announced Monday that it acquired the enterprise remote access business of Broomfield, Colo.-based Level 3 Communications.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Under the agreement, Fiberlink will transition Level 3 remote access customers to its own enterprise connectivity platform.

Kevin O'Hara, Level 3 president and chief operating officer, said in a prepared statement that the deal fit Level 3's strategy: "Level 3 acquired this business through its acquisition of Genuity assets last year, and we believe we can better server our customers through a dedicated, enterprise-focused secure remote access partner."
