Eaton Vance deploys Enterasys to protect financial data

Eaton Vance transmits real-time quotes, research and news on its network continuously and needs visibility across the network to see who is viewing and accessing data, Vincent Cottone, the firm's vice president of infrastructure services, said in a prepared statement.

"We now have a rules-based environment in place that ensures only authorized users can access various parts of the network," he said.

The ability to manage the network so only authorized user can access specific data is important for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, he added.

Eaton Vance deployed Enterasys Matrix N3 and N7 enterprise switches at the distribution layer and network edge. It also uses Enterasys' NetSight Atlas management platform.
