CBL Data Recovery Technologies has been appointed by HP to provide data recovery services in Australia, China, India, Singapore and Taiwan.
Under the terms of the agreement, HP Service Centre and HP Contract Centre Agents will refer existing customers to CBL for data recovery services when hard drives, tapes and other storage media fail and data becomes inaccessible.
Vicki Brauner, managing director of CBL in Australia said the deal followed work on a number of global projects with HP.
“CBL in Singapore was working on a project for HP when the vendor decided to use our services in Australia, China, India, Singapore and Taiwan. The local branch of CBL will also look after services for HP customers in NZ,” said Brauner.
From 17 October to 17 November, CBL will give existing HP customers a 20 percent discount off the quoted price for data recovery services performed on HP storage media, she said.
“HP wants to be able to refer as many customers to CBL as possible in the first month. Once the first month is over HP’s will only receive a 10 percent discount,” Brauner said.
CBL will also take on two extra technicians in order to fulfil customer requests. This will take the local CBL staff number to eight, she said.
