CBA customers are still suffering the after-effects of an overnight outage that has led to delays in processing payments including payroll and Centrelink funds.

CBA outage causes payment delays

The bank reported problems with both its NetBank service and with the CommBank app at around 12.24am.

The problems were fixed a shade after 2am, but an hour later CBA warned that flow-on impacts were being experienced.

“While services are now available, some customers may not have received payments due to processing delays,” the bank said.

“We’re prioritising these as we know how important it is to you. We’re sorry, we know how inconvenient this delay is.”

Customers hit various social media forums saying that they had not had received regular payroll or Centrelink payments.

The delays appeared to be continuing this morning with customers still saying that payroll payments were missing.

Others said they had been left stranded attempting to pay for fuel or other items.
