BEA appoints the Indians

By

Arvind Joshi, COO at ICICI Infotech, said BEA Star Partner membership would assist the company's expansion into Australia. ICICI Infotech became one of the first Indian IT software vendors, rather than outsourcers, to set up shop in Australia when it opened a Sydney office in February.

Indian software house ICICI Infotech has joined BEA Systems to facilitate entry of the former's Triton and Tangible financial services applications into the Australian market.

Under the terms of the agreement, ICICI Infotech and BEA Systems will participate in joint sales, lead referrals, marketing and product integration. ICICI Infotech will bundle its Triton and Tangible financial services applications with BEA Systems' J2EE web platform BEA WebLogic.

Triton is a web-based product suite that automates transaction processing for the retail financial sector and manages the retail lending process across customers, lenders and channel partners. Tangible is a multi-currency, multi-lingual application that helps banks and specialist factoring houses manage the factoring process.
