Baptist Health, a community healthcare provider in Jacksonville, Fla., has installed a solution that combines technology from Passlogix and Entrust to provide access and security for its web-based patient data system.

The combined solution is used for Baptist Health's Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) system, which aims to speed access to patient medical information and increase operational efficiency, the companies said Monday.

Passlogix's v-GO SSO enterprise single sign-on solution and Entrust's GetAccess, a component of the Entrust Secure Identity Management product, allow physicians to access patient records and Baptist's clinical and diagnostic systems through a browser-based portal.

The system provides Baptist physicians with secure remote access to patient records while complying with HIPAA requirements for keeping those records private.
