AussieHQ has continued an acquisition spree by snapping up Brisbane web hosting firm Spirit Connect.

Spirit's managing director Brenden Cruikshank had relocated to Canberra as part of the acquisition, according to a statement posted on the host's website.

"Spirit Connect customers have been merged and integrated in to the AussieHQ brand, and will benefit directly from a wider range of service provisions including 24 hour Australian-based phone support and AussieHQ's state-of-the-art web hosting technologies," the statement said.

The Spirit Connect buy announced today was AussieHQ's second acquisition in the space of a week.

In late November, it purchased Perth's OzPacific Web Solutions. That company's VPS, dedicated server and shared hosting clients would "be progressively merged and integrated" with AussieHQ, the company said.

OzPacific's managing director Matthew Byrne joined AussieHQ as an infrastructure engineer as part of the buy.

AussieHQ acquired another Brisbane firm Hosting Shop for an amount "well into the seven figures" back in May.
