The Eee PC 1000 ships in two versions; a Linux-based model has a 40GB Flash solid state disk (SSD) for storage and costs £369, while the Eee PC 1000H runs Windows XP from an 80GB hard drive and costs £349.
Both models have a six-cell battery offering up to 7.5hours life, subject to usage conditions.
