Check Point announced its security gateways for virtual environments are available through Amazon Web Services.

According to the company, this will enable organisations to extend their security to the cloud with Check Point's software blades range, including firewall, intrusion prevention, application control and URL filtering.

“We offer a shared-responsibility security model that enables customers to choose a security solution that best meets their application's needs, while AWS remains focused on providing a safe and secure infrastructure," said Amazon Web Services chief information security officer Stephen Schmid.
