Prioritise compliance in cloud transformations

As new technologies like AI and automation improve efficiency, companies must prioritise compliance obligations, including data security, privacy, and governance, when planning cloud transformations.

New technologies like generative AI and automation offer promising new ways of improving operational efficiency, but if you’re working to tap these and other technologies you need to make sure you implement them with your compliance obligations in mind.


These requirements – which might variously include consumer obligations, transparency, corporate governance, data security, privacy, sovereignty, transparency, critical infrastructure security, gender equality and other obligations – must be considered when planning and executing cloud transformations.

Yet for many companies, simply migrating core systems to the cloud can be more than enough of a challenge. That’s why Tim Hope, chief technology officer with Versent, recommends that you consider your compliance obligations early – and revisit them often.
